The contest is held from 15 February to 30 June 2011 year.
The honorary President of the contest is the Advisor to the Chairman of the Federation Council Kunshin Aleksandr Yuryevich.
The honorary Vice-President of the contest is the President of the Dve Stolitsi club (Two capitals club) Kustova Valentina Yevgenyevna.
The contest is organized by Regional social fund for supporting artistic intelligentsia named after E. V. Samoilov, LIKBEZPROM LLC and Object One Gallery art gallery under the patronage of the Russian government and cultural centers in Russia and Italy.
In the history of Russia and Italy the contest is an unprecedented event, which will show how Italy is seen in Russia and Russia in seen Italy from the child’s point of view. The contest is sure to inspire creative intelligentsia representatives as well as political and business quarters of both countries.
In Russia the contest involves children aged from 6 to 16 years (inclusive). Following the results of the contest an exhibition and presentations of participants' works will take place in Russia and Italy.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE CONTEST:
According to the unanimous opinion of the organizers, the contest will be a good addition to the state program of cultural events related to the Year of Italian culture and language in Russia. The contest promotes the development of the respect for the spiritual and cultural values of the partner country, deepening of the mutual understanding between the two peoples and the unity of the international space as a whole, which requires energy of the complementarity and commonality between the today's generation and the youngsters of our future.

The project topics are most recognizable images and symbols of Italy, painting and architecture, historical and literary characters.
